CVE-2024-11899

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Slider Pro Lite plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.4.1
Description The issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's sliderpro shortcode. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.4.1, update to a version higher than 1.4.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the sliderpro shortcode to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict contributor-level access and above to trusted users only.
