| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Taskbuilder – WordPress Project & Task Management plugin versions up to, and including, 3.0.6
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's
wppm tasks shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 3.0.6, update to a version later than 3.0.6 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
wppm tasks shortcode until a patch is available.Fix
