CVE-2025-39688

CVSS v2.0

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the nfsd module. The issue arises when a delegation is revoked and marked with the SC STATUS FREEABLE flag, which denotes that it is waiting for a FREE STATEID call. The nfs4 lookup stateid() function does not include SC STATUS FREEABLE in its status mask, resulting in revoked delegations not being found. The fix involves adding SC STATUS FREEABLE to the always-allowed status flags.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
