High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The JobWP – Job Board, Job Listing, Career Page and Recruitment Plugin plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.3.9
Description
The issue is related to SQL Injection via the
jobwp upload resume parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This allows unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.3.9, consider disabling the
jobwp upload resume parameter until a patch is available to prevent SQL Injection attacks. Restrict access to sensitive database information to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
