CVE-2024-12112

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Easy Form Builder – WordPress plugin form builder versions up to, and including, 3.8.8
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the name parameter of the add form Emsfb AJAX action. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, as well as missing authorization checks. Authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above can inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.8.8, update to a version higher than 3.8.8 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the add form Emsfb AJAX action to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the name parameter in the affected AJAX endpoint until the issue is resolved.
