CVE-2025-3458

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Ocean Extra plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.4.6
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping via the ocean gallery id parameter. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute when a user accesses an injected page. The Classic Editor plugin must be installed and activated for the exploitation to be possible.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.4.6, update to a version that includes the necessary input sanitization and output escaping fixes to prevent exploitation of the ocean gallery id parameter. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ocean gallery id parameter or disabling the Classic Editor plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation.
