CVE-2024-12124

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Role Includer plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.6
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the user id parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.6, consider disabling the user id parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to pages that use the user id parameter to minimize the risk of Reflected Cross-Site Scripting attacks. Avoid using the user id parameter in affected pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
