Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Element Pack Addons for Elementor – Free Templates and Widgets for Your WordPress Websites plugin versions up to, and including, 5.10.29
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in several widgets, such as Dual Button, Creative Button, and Image Stack. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute when a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 5.10.29, update to a version later than 5.10.29 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable widgets, such as Dual Button, Creative Button, and Image Stack, to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
XSS
