CVE-2024-12288

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Simple Add Pages or Posts plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.0
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation, allowing unauthenticated attackers to update settings and inject malicious web scripts via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.0.0, update to a version higher than 2.0.0 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of exploitation.
