Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Image Gallery – Responsive Photo Gallery plugin for WordPress versions 1.0.5 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the
awsmgallery parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions 1.0.5 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
awsmgallery parameter until a patch is available. Avoid using the awsmgallery parameter in affected pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
