Description
A critical issue was found, affecting the function
sub 503FC. The manipulation of the argument host leads to a buffer overflow. This issue can be exploited remotely. The vendor was contacted but did not respond. It is estimated that this issue could allow remote attackers to execute code and steal data.Recommendations
For Netgear EX6200 version 1.0.3.94, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling remote management and isolating extenders on a guest VLAN to minimize the risk of exploitation. Monitor logs for anomalies. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
