Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WpRently versions up to, and including, 2.2.1
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. This can be achieved via the
active tab parameter.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.2.1, update to a version higher than 2.2.1 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
active tab parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
