Description The WP Maps WordPress plugin does not sanitise and escape some of its Map settings, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example in multisite setup.

Recommendations For WP Maps WordPress plugin versions prior to 4.7.2, update to version 4.7.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Map settings to minimize the risk of exploitation.
