CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference issue in the mtk iommu device group function has been identified. This issue occurs because iommu device register is called before the driver data is initialized, leading to a NULL pointer dereference when accessing the hw list. The estimated number of potentially affected devices worldwide is not available. There is no information about real-world incidents where this issue was exploited.
Recommendations To resolve this issue, ensure that iommu device register is called after the driver data is initialized. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the mtk iommu device group function until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
