Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the x86/cpu component. The issue arises from the removal of the NULL array terminator at the end of erratum 1386 microcode during the switch from x86 cpu desc to x86 cpu id, causing readers to run off the end of the array. The fix involves replacing the NULL.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
