Description A slab-out-of-bounds read vulnerability has been reported in the Linux kernel, specifically in the isofs fh to parent function. The issue occurs when the handle bytes value is too small, causing an out-of-bounds access when accessing the parent block member of the isofs fid structure. The vulnerability was reported by syzbot and is related to the handling of file handles in the kernel.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
