Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the cxgb4 init ethtool filters() function. The leak occurs when the allocation for
loc array succeeds, but the allocation for bmap fails, causing only some of the allocated memory to be freed. This issue arises due to the control flow going to the free eth finfo label, which only frees allocations starting from the (i-1)th iteration.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
