CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the perf/x86/amd/uncore module. The issue occurs when a CPU comes online, and the per-CPU NB and LLC uncore contexts are freed, but not the events array within the context structure. This causes a memory leak, which has been detected by the kmemleak detector. The leak is associated with the amd uncore cpu up prepare function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
