CVE-2022-49812

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The problem occurs when the VLAN protocol of a bridge changes, and the bridge driver attempts to delete a VLAN via the 8021q driver, even if the VLAN was offloaded via switchdev. This leads to memory leaks when the VLANs are deleted. The issue is caused by the bridge driver calling the 8021q driver for VLANs that were already programmed via switchdev. To fix this, the bridge driver no longer calls the 8021q driver for such VLANs.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
