CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A connections leak issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The problem occurred when the tlink setup failed, causing a module reference count leak because the cifsd kthread did not exit. This also led to a leak of fscache information, resulting in errors when attempting to mount with fsc, such as "CIFS: Cache volume key already in use". The issue has been addressed by checking the result of the tlink setup and performing cleanup.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
