Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the handling of poisoned pages in HugeTLBFS. When a poisoned page is found, it is currently removed from the page cache, which can lead to memory corruption. The fix involves leaving the page in the page cache, and if a user attempts to use a poisoned page, the syscall will fail with an EIO error code, or the thread will receive a BUS MCEERR AR SIGBUS signal if trying to map the page.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
