Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, specifically in the phy: qcom-qmp-combo module. The issue involved a NULL pointer dereference when resuming execution, due to incorrect handling of PCS USB registers. This occurred when no PCS USB offset was provided, causing the use of the wrong base. The fix prevents dereferencing a NULL pointer on platforms that do not provide a PCS USB offset, such as SC7180.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
