Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the IOSM driver. The driver registers a network device without setting the
needs free netdev flag and does not call free netdev() when unregistering the network device, resulting in a memory leak. This issue is resolved by setting needs free netdev to true when registering the network device, allowing the netdev subsystem to automatically call free netdev() after unregistering the network device.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
