| Vector | AV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to the Linux kernel's fscrypt, where the keyring is not properly destroyed after security sb delete(), leading to a potential NULL dereference. This problem occurs when Landlock is used on encrypted files. The function fscrypt destroy keyring() must be called after all potentially-encrypted inodes were evicted, and since inodes in-use by the Landlock LSM don't get evicted until security sb delete(), fscrypt destroy keyring() must be called after security sb delete().
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
