VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue was caused by the addition of rtnl lock to prevent a false data race, but it resulted in a deadlock. The deadlock occurred when igb disable sriov called pci disable sriov before releasing resources, and the netdev core synchronized the cleanup to avoid races. The patch removed the unnecessary rtnl (un)lock to guarantee correctness.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
