Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A issue in the Linux kernel has been identified where the packet length retrieved from a descriptor may be larger than the actual socket buffer length. This can cause the cloned socket buffer (skb) passed up the network stack to leak kernel memory contents. The problem is specifically related to the smsc95xx driver in the net: usb component.
