CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A data corruption issue in the Linux kernel has been identified. The problem occurs when a buffered write fails to copy data into the underlying page cache page in ocfs2. This can lead to a dirty page beyond the End Of File (EOF) and result in an inconsistent state where page data is lost. The issue arises because the page dirty bit is cleared, but buffer dirty bits remain set, preventing the page data from being written.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
