VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been identified, related to a race condition between smc smcr terminate all() and smc buf create(). This issue can lead to a panic when terminating all link groups during a stress test on SMC-R. The problem occurs due to a NULL sndbuf desc in smc cdc tx handler(), which is accessed during CQE processing. The patch aims to fix this issue by checking sndbuf desc before sending any CDC message, ensuring no null pointer is encountered.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
