CVE-2025-37812

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A deadlock issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel, specifically in the cdns3 driver when using the NCM gadget. The deadlock can be triggered by heavy network traffic, for example, using "iperf --bidir" over an NCM ethernet link. This occurs because the threaded interrupt handler gets preempted by a softirq, but both are protected by the same spinlock. The issue is resolved by disabling softirq during the threaded irq handler.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
