Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to the RISC-V port of the kernel, where a missing fence.i after building the XOL buffer can result in incorrect execution of stale or broken instructions. The XOL buffer is used to single-step replaced instructions for uprobes. This issue was discovered while running BPF selftests on the Spacemit K1/X60, where the uprobes tests failed randomly.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
