CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Contest Gallery plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 26.0.6
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The id parameter is specifically vulnerable to this type of attack.
Recommendations For Contest Gallery plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 26.0.6, consider updating to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the id parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
