Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been identified, specifically in the KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) on arm64 architecture. The issue arises when
kvm arch vcpu create() fails to share the vCPU page with the hypervisor, leading to a memory leak and potential use-after-free errors. This occurs because the vGIC vCPU data is not properly cleaned up when the vCPU creation fails. The error can cause issues when the redistributor device handling attempts to access the vCPU.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
