Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to error handling in the
amd powerplay create() function, specifically when amdgpu cgs create device() fails. To prevent a null pointer dereference, the function now properly releases hwmgr and returns an error code. The error code was changed from -EINVAL to -ENOMEM and hwmgr is freed.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
