CVE-2025-37861

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A issue in the Linux kernel has been identified where the task management thread accesses an invalid queue ID, set by the reset thread, which points to unallocated memory, causing a crash. This occurs when the task management thread processes reply queues while the reset thread resets them. To address this, a flag 'io admin reset sync' has been added to synchronize access between the reset, I/O, and admin threads.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
