CVE-2025-37870

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue occurs in the Linux kernel when link training fails, causing the phy clock to be disabled. However, the code assumes link training succeeded, leading to a hang when a register write is made. This happens because the mux selects the phy clock in the enable streams function. To prevent this, the code now checks if link training failed and falls back to the ref clock if necessary, keeping the system in a recoverable state.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
