CVE-2024-13230

CVSS v3.1

5.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Super Socializer plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 7.14
Description The issue is related to a Limited SQL Injection vulnerability via the SuperSocializerKey parameter. This vulnerability is caused by insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and a lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can append additional values into the already existing query, which can be used to extract user metadata from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 7.14, update to a version higher than 7.14 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the SuperSocializerKey parameter until a patch is available.
