Description A vulnerability has been identified in SCALANCE LPE9403 devices with SINEMA Remote Connect Edge Client installed. Affected devices do not properly sanitize configuration parameters, which could allow a non-privileged local attacker to execute root commands on the device.

Recommendations As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the SINEMA Remote Connect Edge Client until a patch is available. Restrict access to configuration parameters to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the device until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
