Description: The issue is related to an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory, also known as a 'Path Traversal' vulnerability. This could lead to arbitrary file system read, allowing a high-privileged attacker to bypass security protections and gain unauthorized read access. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction.

Recommendations: For ColdFusion versions 2025.1, 2023.13, and 2021.19, update to a version that fixes the Path Traversal vulnerability. For ColdFusion versions prior to 2021.19, update to a version that fixes the Path Traversal vulnerability. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
