CVE-2024-13351

CVSS v3.1

7.2

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Social proof testimonials and reviews by Repuso plugin for WordPress versions prior to 5.21
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'rw image badge1' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions prior to 5.21, update to version 5.21 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the 'rw image badge1' shortcode until a patch is available. Restrict access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of exploitation, ensuring only trusted users with administrator-level access can modify the shortcode attributes.
