Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Responsive Addons for Elementor – Free Elementor Addons Plugin and Elementor Templates plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.6.4
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via HTML tags in several widgets due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.6.4, update to a version later than 1.6.4 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable widgets until a patch is available.
Avoid using the vulnerable plugin until the issue is resolved.
Fix
