CVE-2024-13378

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress versions 2.9.0.1 through 2.9.1.3
Description The issue concerns a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability via the style settings parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The attack is only successful in the Chrome web browser and requires directly browsing the media file via the attachment post.
Recommendations For versions 2.9.0.1 through 2.9.1.3, consider disabling the style settings parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the attachment post to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid directly browsing media files via the attachment post in the Chrome web browser until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
