| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Widgets Reset WordPress plugin versions 0.1 and earlier
Description:
The issue concerns a lack of CSRF check when updating settings, which could allow attackers to make a logged-in admin change them via a CSRF attack.
Recommendations:
For versions 0.1 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the settings update functionality until a patch is available. Restrict access to the settings update module to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the vulnerable settings update endpoint until the issue is resolved.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
