Description:
The issue concerns the Page Builder: Pagelayer WordPress plugin, where versions prior to 1.9.0 do not properly sanitise and escape some of its settings. This could allow high-privilege users, such as administrators, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. This is possible even when the
unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example, in a multisite setup.Recommendations:
For versions prior to 1.9.0, update to version 1.9.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of exploitation.
