Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Link Library plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 7.7.2
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the
searchll parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 7.7.2, consider disabling the
searchll parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to pages that utilize the searchll parameter to minimize the risk of Reflected Cross-Site Scripting attacks. Avoid using the searchll parameter in links until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
