CVE-2024-13499

CVSS v3.1

7.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions GamiPress – Gamification plugin to reward points, achievements, badges & ranks in WordPress versions up to, and including, 7.2.1
Description The issue is related to arbitrary shortcode execution via the gamipress do shortcode() function. This is due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do shortcode(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 7.2.1, consider disabling the gamipress do shortcode() function until a patch is available to prevent arbitrary shortcode execution. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
