CVE-2024-13512

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Wonder FontAwesome plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 0.8
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation in one of the plugin's functions. This allows unauthenticated attackers to update settings and inject malicious web scripts via a forged request, provided they can trick a site administrator into performing a specific action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 0.8, consider disabling the vulnerable function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of unauthorized updates. Avoid performing actions that could be triggered by a forged request, such as clicking on suspicious links, until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
