Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WP Google Street View (with 360° virtual tour) & Google maps + Local SEO plugin for WordPress version 1.1.3 and all versions prior to this.
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'wpgsv' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For version 1.1.3 and all versions prior to this, consider disabling the
wpgsv shortcode until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of attackers injecting malicious scripts. Avoid using the wpgsv shortcode in pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
