Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to the
inftl read oob() function in the inftlcore module. Specifically, the return value of inftl read oob() needs to be checked in the INFTL findwriteunit() function to prevent incorrect behavior. A correct implementation can be found in the INFTL deleteblock() function, where the status is set to SECTOR IGNORE to break from the while-loop if inftl read oob() fails.Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
