Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the handling of MDIO bus PM operations for phylink-controlled PHYs. The issue affects DSA drivers that do not have MAC managed PM, causing the PHY state machine to run unexpectedly. This can lead to a warning being triggered and potentially cause the kernel to crash. The problem is not limited to DSA drivers but can also affect other MAC drivers with phylink and MDIO-bus-managed PHY PM operations.
