Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, specifically related to the mitigation of cBPF programs loaded by unprivileged users on arm64 systems. Typically, support for eBPF programs loaded by unprivileged users is disabled, which means only cBPF programs need to be mitigated for BHB. The mitigation is applied only to cBPF programs loaded by unprivileged users, as privileged users can also load the same program via eBPF, making the mitigation pointless.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
